The Diploma of Beauty Therapy (SHB50115) offered by Open Colleges is a nationally recognised qualification. This online beauty course will give you the knowledge and skills to forge a successful career as a beauty therapist. Students need to hold a current first aid certificate in order to complete the course.
This course requires students to complete 155 hours of work placement within an appropriate workplace, supervised by a qualified staff member. Students will need to secure their own work placement, however, Open College is available to assist and advise through their Work Placement Support Team.
To be eligible to enrol in this course, you must meet one of the following entry requirements:
- Be at least 18 years old; AND
- Have access to a computer and the internet; AND
- Hold a minimum qualification of a Certificate II level or higher; OR
- Demonstrate 2 years of relevant industry experience in a role that requires the use of written documentation and communication.
- Successful completion of Year 12 English or equivalent; OR
- Successful completion of a Nationally Recognised Training qualification at Certificate III level or higher; OR
- Demonstrate 3 years of relevant industry experience in a role that requires the use of written documentation and communication.
