About this unit
Working in counselling or psychology, it’s critical that you recognise how counselling theory, practice, research and ethics relate to each other. The Introduction of Theories of Counselling unit, offered by Swinburne University of Technology through Open Universities Australia, gives students a solid understanding of the 11 theories of counselling and how they are used in therapeutic practice.
This fully online learning unit is recommended for students enrolled in the Bachelor of Behavioural Studies and Bachelor of Behavioural Studies (Psychology) degrees. During this unit, students will also learn how to interpret and critically analyse counselling theory research – an integral part of the counselling profession.
