About this unit
During this online Project Planning and Control unit from Open Universities Australia and the University of South Australia, you will be equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to implement a complex plan – a vital part of enterprise management. Ultimately, you will come away with the ability to both plan and control projects using the appropriate technologies and techniques.
To begin with, you will learn how to first identify an engineering problem, and to select the most appropriate project to solve this, using economic evaluation analysis. Then you will implement this project using the correct structure, developing a schedule while taking budget and resources into consideration.
You will then be expected to develop a suitable technique to control your project, allowing you to evaluate the project's progress. This unit will give you the experience necessary to implement any complex manufacturing engineering plan into an enterprise.
