About this unit
The online Statistics for Social Research unit is designed to teach you how to analyse quantitative data for the purpose of social science research.
Offered through Open Universities Australia and delivered in partnership with Griffith University, the unit is designed for individuals with little or no experience with statistics, and is particularly helpful to those working within fields such as psychology, criminology and the social sciences.
By studying this unit you will learn how to measure, hypothesise and analyse statistical data for research investigations and understand how to infer meaning from the data you collect.
You will also learn about variability, correlations and reliability, effect sizes and non-parametric statistical tests.
