About this unit
Textual Practices – Capstone Unit synthesises prior learning in the field of English; provides instruction in the reading and writing of essays in various textual forms; and explores the linkages between essay writing and other literary genres.
You will learn to take a critical and analytical approach to the essay genre, identify the textual and discursive strategies at play utilised by different essay forms, and communicate your insights in clear prose.
Delivered online by Open Universities Australia and Macquarie University, this unit will develop your capacity to reflect, research and communicate, both in a scholarly setting and through your writing for a broader audience.
