The Course in Plumbing – Mechanical (CPC40912) forms part of The Gordon’s Certificate IV in Plumbing and Services (CPC40912).
The Course in Plumbing – Mechanical (CPC40912) is designed to assist learners who want to apply for a Victorian Building Authority (VBA) licence in mechanical services. During the course, you will learn about commissioning air and water systems, and designing heating and cooling systems.
Upon completion of the required number of common and stream units, you may also be eligible for the full Certificate IV in Plumbing and Services (CPC40912) qualification.
Assessment will take the form of:
- Written assignments
- Exam (external)

In order to fulfil the VBA requirements and sit the licensing exam, you must hold either a Certificate III in Plumbing (trade certificate) or a degree in Engineering. If you are unsure of your eligibility, enquire now for more information.
Recognition of prior learning (RPL) may be available for skills and knowledge obtained through previous study or other relevant experience.
