The Diploma of Remedial Massage (HLT52015) course is designed to give you the foundational knowledge and practical skills to launch your career as a remedial massage therapist.
Offered by the Australasian College of Natural Therapies at Torrens University Australia, the course is delivered through a blend of online study and on-campus classes. This gives you the best of both worlds – flexibility to study at your own pace and the hands-on training needed to excel in the field of complementary medicine.
Over the course of the year you’ll learn how to treat and manage the underlying causes of musculoskeletal problems, a variety of soft-tissue injuries, and chronic diseases.
Once you’ve completed this nationally recognised course, you’ll have the skills and knowledge to work with a range of clients, in either a private practice or as part of a multidisciplinary team of allied health practitioners.
Workload and assessment
If you are studying full time, you will be expected to complete between 21-24 hours of learning a week. Part-time students can expect to complete approximately 9-15 hours of learning per week.
Assessments for this course are competency based and may take a variety of forms, including:

To be eligible to study this course, applicants must meet the following entry requirements:
- Have completed an Australian secondary education qualification or equivalent; OR
- Complete the Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) test and demonstrate competency at exit level 3 for both reading and numeracy
