About the Course

The CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, offered by Skills Generation, is an essential qualification for those aspiring to support and educate children in their formative years. This course equips participants with the foundational skills and knowledge necessary to foster children’s wellbeing, learning, and development across various early childhood education settings. Students will engage in a comprehensive curriculum that includes core units focused on child health, safety, and holistic learning, as well as opportunities to nurture positive relationships with children and support inclusion and diversity.

With a blend of theoretical learning and practical experience, the course requires students to complete 160 hours of vocational work placement in a regulated children’s education and care service. This hands-on approach not only enhances the learning experience but also prepares graduates for a range of employment opportunities, including roles as Assistant Educators in childcare centres, kindergartens, and family day care. The course is designed to be flexible, allowing students to complete their studies within 6 to 12 months, making it an ideal choice for those balancing personal and professional commitments. Enquire to learn more.

There are no prerequisites for this course. However, students will need:

  • Access to a computer with word processing, email, Zoom/other, PDF reader capabilities, and a reliable internet connection
  • Basic computer literacy

  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card in QLD). Skills Generation can assist with your application if required
  • Ongoing access to an approved regulated children’s education and care service to complete workplace tasks
