The Diploma of Health Science offered by the Australian Chiropractic College is a one-year program designed to provide foundational study in health sciences and support progression into the Bachelor of Chiropractic.
The course covers core scientific areas including anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, and biophysics, alongside an introduction to the domestic healthcare system, research skills, and the sociological and philosophical study of health. This structure provides students with the academic preparation required for further chiropractic study.
Students may choose to study face-to-face at ACC’s Adelaide or Melbourne campuses, or through a blended online format that combines online learning with scheduled on-campus attendance. Full-time and part-time study options are available (domestic students only), and FEE-HELP is available to eligible students.
Successful completion of the Diploma of Health Science provides a pathway into the Bachelor of Chiropractic program at ACC, subject to meeting progression requirements. Enquire to learn more.
To be eligible to study this course, applicants must meet one of the following:
Successful completion of Year 12 with required ATAR (or equivalent secondary education); or
Post secondary study higher education or VET study to the required level; or
Demonstrated and appropriate work/life experience as per the entry requirements
Applicants are recommended to have studied at least one of the following subjects at secondary level:
