First Aid:

You must obtain a pass in the subject HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid, from an external provider.

Age

To do start the Complete Personal Training Course, you need to be aged 17 years or older. To start the Diploma of Nutrition, you need to be 18 years or older.

Education

You’ll need to have completed year 12 or equivalent, ie.

  • A qualification at Certificate IV level or higher OR
  • 2 years of industry experience in a role that requires the use of written documentation and communication.

You’ll need a high level of language, literacy and numeracy skills.

Residency Status

You will need to be a permanent Australian resident or equivalent.

Computer Requirements

As the theoretical course component is conducted online, you will need a reliable computer/laptop and an internet connection.

Working with Children Check

For the practical component of this course, you may need a current ‘Working with Children Check Clearance’ issued by the relevant authority in your state/territory.

For the Certificate III in Fitness component, you’ll study:

  • HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid*

* This course contains the unit HLTAID011 Provide First Aid which must be completed through an external RTO. AIPT has an agreement in place with Red Cross Australia (RTOID 3605) which allows students to receive training for this unit at a reduced price or you may source your own training provider. Please note that the cost of this external training is not included in your course fee. Upon completion, you will need to submit a copy of your First Aid certificate for AIPT to process a Credit Transfer against this unit of competency on your student record.
