You will master essential skills such as how to develop positive and respectful relationships with children, how to support children’s health, safety and well-being, how to support the holistic learning and development of children and how to provide experiences to support children’s play and learning, as well as practical skills required when educating young children such as how to meet legal and ethical obligations in children’s education and care, and how to follow basic food safety practices.

Aside from the theoretical part of the course, you will be required to undertake 160 hours of supervised work placement in a regulated child education service that caters to children aged between 0-6 which will ensure that on completion of the qualification you will be able to hit the ground running in one of many early childhood education roles available nationally.
