About the Course

The Graduate Certificate in Advanced Nursing (Perioperative Nursing) offered by the Institute of Health and Management is designed for registered nurses seeking to enhance their expertise in perioperative care. This online course spans 26 weeks and provides a comprehensive introduction to the principles of perioperative nursing, equipping students with the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver client-centred care before, during, and after surgical procedures. The curriculum emphasises a person-centred approach, ensuring that nurses can advocate for and assure the quality and safety of care for patients who may be unable to communicate during surgery.
