Delivery

This course is delivered over 29 Sessions, average duration is 12 months. There are:

– 29 x 5-hour theory sessions (Online or On Campus)
– 2 x Assessor workplace visits and 280 hours of work placement in a regulated childrens’ service
– Recommended 15 hours of self-paced learning per week

Assessments include written and oral questions, projects, and observations of skills.

What you’ll need

To qualify for this course, students must hold either a CHC30113 Certificate III Early Childhood Education and Care or CHC30121 Certificate III Early Childhood Education and Care qualification.

Availability to attend classes and placement (this course is not self-paced)
Complete a language literacy and numeracy test (entry AQF level 4)
Confident in the ability to use digital resources (email, online research, digital assessments, Zoom)
Access to a computer and the Internet (Online classes will require cameras and microphones)
Obtain a Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to undertaking placement
Ability to travel to and from placement
