The CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing & Disability) offered by MCIE is designed to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge required to provide high-quality support to individuals in aged care and disability settings. This comprehensive course spans 36 weeks ensuring that students gain both theoretical understanding and hands-on experience. Participants will engage in core units that cover topics such as recognising healthy body systems, supporting independence and wellbeing, and working ethically and legally within the community services sector.
In addition to the core curriculum, students have the opportunity to select from a range of elective units tailored to their interests and career goals. These electives include specialised areas such as palliative care, dementia support, and community participation for individuals with disabilities. The course not only prepares students for immediate employment in the sector but also fosters a deeper understanding of the diverse needs of clients, promoting empowerment and inclusion.
