About NSW Smart and Skilled Funding
NSW Smart and Skilled funding is a government initiative aimed at providing quality vocational education and training (VET) courses for eligible students in New South Wales (NSW), Australia. The funding is available to help individuals acquire new skills, develop existing ones, and enhance their career prospects.
The program is designed to provide students with access to a range of courses in various industries and sectors, including business, hospitality, construction, and healthcare, among others. Smart and Skilled funding covers a significant portion of the course fees, making it an affordable option for eligible students.
To be eligible for Smart and Skilled funding, individuals must be at least 15 years old and no longer at school, an Australian citizen, permanent resident, humanitarian visa holder, or New Zealand citizen residing in NSW.
The funding is also available to individuals who are currently employed but require additional training to progress in their careers, as well as those who are unemployed or have been recently retrenched. The program provides flexibility, allowing individuals to choose the course, training provider, and mode of study that suits their needs and preferences.
