The CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability) offered by Aged Care Training Services is a nationally recognised qualification designed for individuals passionate about supporting the elderly and those with disabilities. This course equips learners with the essential skills and knowledge to provide personalised care, enabling clients to achieve their full potential. Participants will explore key areas such as individualised support, empowerment, and the promotion of independence and wellbeing, ensuring they are well-prepared for a rewarding career in the aged care and disability sectors.

This course features a blended delivery model, combining virtual classroom training, in-person clinical practice workshops, and a mandatory practical placement of 120 hours. With flexible scheduling options, including day and night classes, learners can tailor their education to fit their personal and professional commitments. Upon completion, graduates will be job-ready, having gained hands-on experience and a comprehensive understanding of the care industry.

To be eligible to study this course, applicants must meet the following entry requirements:

  • Obtain a police check/certificate prior to practical placement and/or,
  • Willing and physically able to do practical placement and/or,
  • Undertake a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment so that the appropriate support can be provided and or sourced and/or,
  • Access to the internet, a computer with a camera and microphone, and have basic computer literacy and/or,
  • The ability to work autonomously and a commitment to attend virtual sessions.
