Over the period of your studies you will undertake 12 subjects with a choice of studying a general pathway with no major or specialising in Acute Care, Chronic and Complex Care, Quality and Safety or Leadership and Management (sub-major). This course will allow you to offer advanced care and achieve a leading level of evidence-based clinical practice in your chosen field.
This recognised Masters course will allow Registered Nurses who meet the criteria outlined in the ACMHN Framework to use this qualification as part of their application to become a Credentialed Mental Health Nurse.

What you’ll need
To be eligible to study this course, applicants must meet the following entry requirements:
- Applicants must have completed a UTS-recognised bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent higher qualification, or submitted other evidence of general and professional qualifications that demonstrates potential to pursue postgraduate studies; AND
- Applicants must be currently employed in a healthcare setting and have one year of post-registration clinical experience; AND
- Applicants must hold current registration as a nurse in Australia. Students’ current nursing registration will be confirmed via the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. Students should ensure that details of their registration are up-to-date on this register.
