Institute of Data Courses

The Institute of Data is a specialist tech training organisation delivering intensive, industry-led programs in data science and artificial intelligence, cyber security, and software engineering. In Australia, these programs are offered in partnership with La Trobe University — a university ranked in the top 1% worldwide and among the top three Victorian universities for overall employer satisfaction. This partnership brings together the Institute of Data’s accelerated, practice-focused training methodology and La Trobe’s academic rigour and credentialling authority.

Programs run 12 weeks full-time or 24 weeks part-time, with in-person delivery in Melbourne CBD and remote access available. With more than 400 hours of training and project work, the curriculum is built around the practical skills employers are actively seeking. Graduates receive both an Institute of Data industry certification and a University Certificate of Completion from La Trobe University, with 30 credit points applicable toward selected postgraduate courses in La Trobe’s Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Mathematical Sciences.
